ABOUT OUR VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

 This online application is for new and returning DABC volunteers for the 2010 tax season and must be validated yearly.  Currently, the DABC recruits volunteers for our free tax preparation sites located in the metro Denver area only.  Please visit the DABC website for additional information about volunteering with the DABC and our Free Tax SuperSite locations in the metro Denver area.

Please note: If you would like to volunteer at a site that is not located in the Denver metro area, please contact the Denver IRS SPEC office at (303) 603-4564 for additional locations and volunteer application procedures.

BECOMING A VOLUNTEER WITH THE DABC: AS EASY AS 1-2-3

1. Select the volunteer positions that interest you (see below)
2. Complete an online volunteer application (see below)
3. Complete the required training in January 2010 based on your desired volunteer position (training information and registration will be sent by e-mail in November/December).

CURRENT DABC VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

 Currently the DABC has many volunteer positions to match various backgrounds and interests.  When completing your volunteer application below you will be asked to select a position that interest you:

Current volunteer positions include (position descriptions):

• Computer Specialists
• Greeter/Screeners
• Tax Assistors
• Tax Site Coordinators
• Translators (Spanish/Other Languages)
• Training Instructors

(New volunteers may only sign up for Computer Specialist, Greeter/Screener, Tax Assistor, Translator.  All other positions are reserved for volunteers with prior year experience.  Email volunteer@denverabc.org with questions)

Please note: After the completion of training (generally 4-24 hours depending on experience and volunteer position selected), the DABC requires volunteers to commit to a minimum of 28 hours of volunteer service from January 30th through April 15th.
